He arrived on time and was fast. He explained everything he did very well
I truly liked the "I'm on my Way" text message showing a pic of the service tech and the short bio...I've not seen this before but I enjoyed the information. Tech was on-time, efficient and provided a full update and invoice before leaving, can't really get much better than that...
I recently purchased a home with boiler heat. Noticed a small leak from one of the water lines. It was only a small leak and decided to call Black-Haak heating because there was a sticker on the boiler. I wasn't sure if they did the pipe repair or if I should hire a plumber. Black Haak had Brad over at the house later that day. Very professional. Explained what the process would be. Had the repair scheduled for a later date. Brad had the whole system drained, pipe and valve changed out and had my system operating within a couple of hours for far less than I was expecting. If you need service on a hot water boiler heating system....Brad at Black-haak Heating should be your first and only call.
Performed preferred client furnace start up. Checked over the furnace installation. Cycled the furnace. Set the gas pressure. Took a temperature reading and set the fan speed. Performed furnace combustion test. The furnace is running normally at this time. Talked to the client about possibly getting the air conditioner checked out. The client will talk it over with his wife and call if they are interested.
installed new gas furnace and AC, all equipment tested and running start up complete on both units.
3-26-19. Removed old furnace. Installed new daikin 2 stage furnace. Installed metal to connect furnace to duct. Connected pvc to exhaust on furnace. Installed and setup t6 WiFi stat. Pulled new 6wire thermostat wire from upstairs to furnace. Reconnected gas piping and electrical wiring to furnace. Installed filter upgrade kit and new 213 filter. Ran new drain hose from coil and furnace to floor drain. Started furnace and everything running and draining properly. Thank you for choosing Black -Haak heating for your heating needs.
Installed new gas furnace and AC. Furnace is up and running and tested. AC has not been pumped down yet under pressure to cold.
Installed indoor air quality package with a 16x20x1 electronic air cleaner, a Aprilaire humidifier 600, and a PureAirX ultraviolet light. We cycled the system on to ensure operations. This system is currently operating normal at this time job complete
Performed boiler clean and tune. The sparker gap was starting to widen. I replaced the sparker. Also secured the drain trap to the boiler. The boiler is operating safely at this time.
Located short in receptacle in 3-seasons room also did voltage check on circuit in panel.
Performed furnace start up; inspected the exhaust and intake PVC ensuring all connections were secured we’ll have to return next year with spray foam to insulate the exhaust and intake PVC, sniffed the gas line for possible leaks, as well as cycled the system on and checked gas pressures and did make adjustments on both stages, also performed a combustion test verifying no CO in the airstream. This system is currently operating normal and heating at 47 degrees at this time. I did include a quote for an electronic air cleaner because i notice the du point allergen filter the air cleaner uses a positive electronic charge to help attract those fine particles down to .3 microns in size eliminating those particles that can upset allergies as well as included a quote for a humidifier replacement because the one in place now has a broken solenoid valve. Job complete
2/14/19. Removed old furnace. Installed new daikin 2 stage. Cut holes in wall to outside and ran pvc for exhaust and intake on furnace. Installed metal to connect furnace to duct. Reconnected electrical and thermostat wiring to furnace. Connected gas piping to furnace. Ran new drain hose from furnace and coil to floor drain. Installed t6 WiFi stat and set it up. Thank you for choosing Black-Haak heating for your heating needs.
System was abruptly shut off due to a power outage. Upon arrival I found the Tstat set to 55 degrees I changed the set point to 75 and cycled the furnace on. The system functioned properly without any issues I checked the kitchen stove and found the clock displaying incorrect time as well as flashing. System operating normal at this time. Would recommend,Ed getting a Tstat with batteries to prevent the furnace from shutting off. Job complete
Performed level 2 furnace cleaning and replaced the inducer motor. I had to completely disassemble the furnace venting and gas pipe to get the motor out. After installing the new motor and put everything back together, I was able to perform the cleaning. Burners are clean. Heat exchanger and ignition assembly are showing signs of wear. Gas and exhaust levels are normal. No CO detected in the air. Heat rise was 50 degrees. Due to age and condition, annual maintenance is recommended. Furnace is operating normally at this time.
Performed furnace start up; inspected the exhaust and intake PVC ensuring all connections were secured, sniffed the gas line for possible leaks, cycled the system on and checked gas pressures and did make an adjustment, as well as performed a combustion test verifying no CO in the airstream. This system is currently operating normal and heating at 54 degrees at his time. Job complete
Installed Honeywell T4 thermostat. As well as installed 16x25x1 electronic air cleaner. Job complete
1/17/19 removed old furnace. Installed new Goodman furnace. Installed new 3†pvc venting. Reconnected electrical and thermostat wiring to new furnace. Ran new drain hose from furnace and coil to floor drain. Installed metal to connect furnace to duct. Started furnace and everything is running and draining properly. Thank you for choosing Black-Haak heating for your heating needs.
Performed first year furnace cleaning; inspected the exhaust and intake PVC ensuring all connections were secured, removed and cleaned the burners along with the flame sensor, cycled system on and checked gas pressures and did make an adjustment, as well as performed a combustion test verifying no CO in the airstream, also replaced the 16x25x1 air filter, lastly made a fan adjustment to get a temp rise of 50 degrees. Also want to make note of the air quality report we had higher levels of particles in the home which could result in build up on the blower wheel which could cause great reduction in efficiency I would recommend upgrading the filter to an electronic air cleaner to bring these levels down. Job complete
No heat when thermostat set to auto. Inspected thermostat and furnace. Checked voltage for fan set to auto mode and there was none. When the fan is set to on the low speed fan kicks in and runs while burner is on. All other systems are operating safely at this time.
Exchange 100 amp panel and sub panel to a new 32 space main breaker.
Black Haak would be pleased to move the (3) existing wiring into the wall where needed. We will also move the (2) gang switch box to the location you will need them at once the pantry is framed. The items are all in the photo attached. We will also install a pantry light on a door switch.
Quoted an electrical upgrade.
Replaced water pressure switch. I cycled the unit a few times as well to make sure I had no fault codes. Unit is operating normally at this time.
Came out to replace a main board. Board was bad, however, unit still wouldn’t ignite. We have a bad pressure switch. There is proper voltage but not the right amount of water column. I tried to do other test as well to make sure that was the issue. Gas valve had 24v and hot surface igniter was lighting. Pressure switch wouldn’t allow flame to ignite due to the water column. Myself and Jerimiah were able to temporarily get the unit to heat, however, it will fail again. We need to return with parts ASAP.
Performed level 2 furnace cleaning. Unit was very dirty with rust chips when I arrived. Burners and pilot assembly are wearing out. Heat exchanger is very worn and has a lot of chipping. Inducer motor and gas valve bearings are starting to sound worn as well. Average life of system is typically 12-14 years. Unit is currently around the 20 year mark. Due to age, condition, cost to repair, and safety concerns in the future, second opinion is recommended.
11-14-18 installed humidifer and uv light. Tested so both are opperating.
Performed start up on new furnace. No gas leaks detected. Combustion analysis was normal. No CO detected in the air. Electrical and venting components are properly installed. High limit passed safety test. Heat rise was 46 degrees. I asked customer about adhusting the flame and he didn’t think the home was heating up quick enough. I found the filter was dirty and clogged. This may have been the issue. Gas pressures were normal. Unit is operating great at this time.
