Did a good job
I would recommend them to anyone. They were courteous, timely and professional.
After evaluating our furnace issue, the tech recommended we speak with his boss. Dan helped us consider our options, and we installed a new furnace the same day. All staff were courteous and they did a great job. I would recommend them.
Julian was great - professional, personable, and knows his stuff
My tech who came to tune up my furnace and fireplace was very knowledgeable and very friendly to my 2 yr old and my anxious dog. He was very professional and did an excellent job maintaining our products so they work properly when we need them. He left no mess and was very courteous and friendly. I highly recommend using Black-Haak for any of your heating or cooling needs.

System was calling for 72, and was only at 65 degrees. Customer stated that cool air was coming from vents. System calling for heat, but only blower fan was operating. Found system out on fault. Consecutive attempts. Checked drain lines and found drain line from collector box pitched upward slightly. Adjusted drain line down so water would drain from collector box to drain trap. System fired and ran for several mins. Checked temp rise and found split of 45 degrees after about 15 mins of run time. Thermostat temp went up by 5 degrees. System operating normal at this time.
Installed dryer vent. Cycled the dryer to verify exhaust outside. Everything is operating normal at this time. Job complete
Performed furnace start up; inspected the exhaust and intake PVC ensuring all connections were secured, I then sniffed the gas line for possible leaks, as well as sniffed the A coil for refrigerant leaks, cycled the system on and checked gas pressures and did adjust gas pressure to 3.5InH2O, performed a combustion test verifying no CO in the airstream, and lastly took a delta t of 29 degrees after investigating I found one of the return air ducts covered with a blanket this was causing the sytem to overheat and shut off. I removed the obstruction and brought the temp up to 45 degrees. This system is currently operating normal at this time. Due to the leak indicators on the A coil we scheduled a second opinion with Dan F today at 1 O’clock. Job complete
Installed gas line from mechanical room through garage to second floor.
Furnace clean and tune. Cycled system. Checked heat exchanger, found all chambers extremely rusted and damaged. Checked and cleaned burners. Burners were very corroded and damaged. Checked and cleaned flame rod/igniter assembly. Flamerod is very worn. Checked for CO in airstream, none found. Normal levels of CO and XS air in exhaust. Average life of this unit is 14 years. This system is 20 years old and worn. Future failure is expected. Job complete.
Went over with home owner on the heating and cooling system.
Repair leaking pipe. Upon inspection of the pipe it was determined that the pipes the burst made a loop in the wall and actually went nowhere into an unconditioned space. The pipes were cut back further and reconnected to each other in a more conditioned space. Filled system and inspected for more leaks. No leaks were found. System was purged and the boiler was ran and tested, all systems operating properly at this time.
Installed new Daikin DM92SS040 gas furnace.
Cut hole in return. Wired up UV light to EAC, neutral and ground. Wired electronic air cleaner and installed. Cycled system and tested both units. Both units operating normal at this time. Discounted purchased filters and instructed on use. Job complete.
Performed furnace start up; inspected the exhaust and intake PVC ensuring all connections were secured, I then sniffed out the gas line for possible leaks we’ll have to return with gas line stickers next year, next i cycled the sytem on and checked gas pressures, as well as performed a combustion test verifying no CO in the airstream. This sytem is currently operating normal and heating at 53 degrees at this time. Job complete
No heat. The furnace is igniting and dropping out after about 30 seconds. We setup a ladder and Brennan swept the snow away that drifted up around the roof jack. The furnace is back up and running normally.
Replaced pressure switches cycled the sytem on and ensured sytem was operating. Job complete
We removed the old unit and installed a new Daikin furnace. Tied into existing duct, gas line, vent and electrical. Ran a new drain
Installed blocked drain pressure switch. Cycled the system on to verify operation and did notice that the high fire pressure switch was chattering (chatters up until it engages to high fire). We will have to return to replace both the high and low fire pressure switches. This sytem is currently operating normal at this time. Job complete
1/24/19. Removed old furnace. Installed new daikin 2 stage furnace. Connected pvc to exhaust and intake on furnace. Installed metal to connect furnace to duct. Reconnected electrical to furnace. Pulled new 6 wire thermostat wire to thermostat from furnace. Installed and setup t6 WiFi stat. Ran new drain hose from coil, furnace, and humidifier to floor drain. Connected gas pipe to furnace. Started furnace and everything is running properly. Thank you for choosing Black-Haak heating for your heating needs. .
Performed furnace and fireplace cleaning; started with the furnace inspected exhaust and intake PVC ensuring all connections were secured, removed and cleaned the burners along with the flame sensor, inspected heat exchanger and did performed powered test and did receive blowback from all 4 cells, cycled the sytem on and checked gas pressures, ohmed out the igniter which did test weak, as well as performed a combustion test verifying no CO in the airstream but did receive a slightly higher than normal amount of excess air, i then vacuumed and cleaned out the fireplace as well as cleaned off the pilot assembly, and lastly wiped down glass on fireplace. These systems are currently operating but due to age and condition i highly recommend annual maintenance on the furnace. Did want to make note air filters in place are too restrictive would recommend upgrading to an electronic air cleaner to bring down levels of dust in the home. Also installed 16x25x1 electronic air cleaner Job complete
