Gary Petrie was our service tech which in my opinion did an excellent job, communicated well, well mannered and conscience of our surroundings. I wouldn't mind having him come back every year to service our equipment!
All my experiences with Black Hawk have been very good. Service is timely, well done, generally well explained and service people always courteous.
Furnace clean and tune. Cycled system. Checked heat exchanger. Found some rust and corrosion in the chambers. No cracks found. Checked, removed, and cleaned burners and flame sensor. Found burners very rusted and corroded. Cleaned as best as I could. Igniter is showing be be getting worn. Igniter is showing whiting in a few areas on igniter. Tested normal at this time. Checked and adjusted gas pressures to maximize efficiency. Checked and tightened electrical connections and clamps. Cleared drain line. Preformed combustion test and found normal level in exhaust. No CO found in airstream. System is showing signs of getting worn, but operating normal at this time. Yearly maintenance is recommended to help the longevity of this unit. Job complete.
Furnace start up. Cycled system. Checked electrical connections and clamps. Found exhaust venting clamp was incorrectly installed. Removed and correctly installed. Checked venting, ok. Preformed gas leak search, no leaks found. Checked and adjusted gas pressures to maximize efficiency. Inlet and outlet pressures were checked and adjusted. Preformed combustion test. Normal levels found in exhaust. No CO found in airstream. Customer stated that the system sounded louder. And they were having duct noises. Found filter clogged. Removed and noise reduced. Replaced thermostat with correct thermostat. System operating normal at this time. Job complete.

Resulting in ignition failure Inducer motor- inducer is using more power than designed for. Burners- all three burners are rusted in spots that show signed of pending failure. Ex air -169 , co in home 4ppm, showed customer cracked heat exchanger Dan Fox second opinion Tech has turned off system as it is unsafe to run Now scheduling spring AC tune ups
Installed gas furnace. (Homeowner didnâ€™t want old t-stat)
Performed a preferred customer furnace cleaning. Cleaned the burners and the flame sensor. Checked the furnace heat exchanger. Wiped down the inside of the furnace. Checked the electrical. Cycled the furnace and performed a furnace combustion test. No issues with the furnace at this time. Changed the furnace filter.
