Did a great job explaining my options, ordering and installing my air conditioner, in a very timely manner. Communication from start to finish was accurate and informative, very helpful in understanding my options. Air conditioner was installed and is working properly. A few years back you installed my furnace, very happy with both installations. Thank you!
Dan was our technician, and I can't say enough good things about him! He is so personable, and did a great job. He explained things well, and worked hard to make sure I knew what all my options were. He also went out of his way to have me talk to another member of the Black Haak company to see if replacing my furnace would be a better option. Dan understood when we couldn't afford that right now, and didn't push us to go beyond our budget. He was a really great guy!
Performed furnace clean and tune. I replaced the filter. Noticed the ignitor is worn and could fail. I recommend replacing the ignitor. I replaced the ignitor. The furnace is operating properly at this time. We will return in the spring to clean the air conditioner.
Fireplace was not working. Customer explained that fireplace would not light. Tried to light pilot several times with no luck. Cleaned flame sensor and tried to light again. After allowing pilot light to set for over 1 1/2 mins, pilot stayed lit. Cycled system and ran for over 15 mins with no issues. Diagnosis is that the flame sensor is getting weak. There is a possibility that the gas valve springs are also getting weak. Instructed the customer of her options. The customer is going to try to keep the flame sensor clean. If issues arise again, due to age and style of fireplace, Darboy stone and brick was recommended for replacement of parts or unit. Customer will call if they need any more help from us. A cleaning was not needed for this unit, diagnosis fee was charged instead. System operating normal at this time. Job complete.
Performed preferred customer air conditioning cleaning. Checked the indoor coil for leaks. Did not find any leaks in the indoor coil. Cleaned the condenser coil. Checked the electrical. Cycled the air conditioner and checked the refrigerant levels. The refrigerant levels are normal. No issues with the air conditioner at this time.
Changed breaker for ac
Found water in blower compartment of furnace. Customer indicated that water started leaking this past weekend. Cycled system and checked pressures and temps, ok. Removed filter. Filter was very dirty. Recommend ac clean and tune. Possible tipping coil to drain a little more. This situation not from furnace instal or operation. Office to schedule. System cooling at this time. Job complete.imstall crew noticed coil pitched incorrectly, recommended repairs at that time. Customer did not call back to schedule.
Quoted and emailed estimates, .
Performed preferred customer air conditioning cleaning. Checked over the air conditioner. Did not find any issues with the air conditioner at this time.
Returned to replace main board and to do AC start up. Added 1.5 pounds of refrigerant for a sub cool of 10 degrees with a 20 degree temp split. This system is currently operating normal at this time. Job complete
Performed the level 2 furnace cleaning. Burners and flame sensor are clean. Heat exchanger looks good. Gas and exhaust levels are normal. No CO detected in the air. Temp rise was 40°. High limit passed the safety test. Unit is heating properly.
Performed the level 2 furnace and AC cleaning. Furnace: Burners and flame sensor are clean. Heat exchanger looks good. Combustion readings were normal. No CO detected in the air. High limit passed the safety test. Temp rise was 40°. Unit is heating properly. AC: Leaks detected outside. Electrical components are getting bad. I had to remove a mouse nest from the electrical compartment. Refrigerant tested very low. Average life of system is 12-14 years. Unit is currently 20+. Due to age, condition, and cost to repair, second opinion is recommended. Failure is expected in the future.
Was here for a package cleaning and to clean the mini split air conditioner. Performed furnace cleaning. Found moderate to heavy rusting in the heat exchanger. Electrical components are original. Performed combustion test. The furnace is 16 years old. Recommend continuing to get cleanings to monitor the heat exchanger. The furnace is running normally at this time. Performed air conditioning cleaning on the mini split unit. Found that a mouse got into the electrical and was causing the air conditioner to not start up. Cleared out the mice. No damage to the electrical. Cleaned and cycled the air conditioner. The air conditioner is running normally at this time. Performed air conditioning cleaning on the Armstrong unit. Checked the indoor coil for leaks. Found indications of a leak in the indoor coil. Found that the air conditioner is low on r-22 refrigerant. This unit is 16 years old. Recommend my supervisor give the customer a call.
Cycled ac system. Hooked up gauges and checked pressures and temps. Found subcooling at 10, indoor coil temp at 40 degrees, indoor split was 18. This was achieved after 15 mins of run time. Pressures and temps are ok. System set up correctly. Job complete.
Performed package clean and tune. Started with the furnace inspected the exhaust and intake PVC ensuring all connections were secured, removed and cleaned the burners along with the flame sensor, cycled system on and checked gas pressures, as well as performed a combustion test verifying no CO in the airstream. Made my way to the outdoor condenser. I inspected the electrical compartment and tested components, sprayed down the condenser with coil cleaner, cycled AC on and checked pressures and temps super heat 19 degrees with a 20 degree temp split. These systems are currently operating normal at this time. Job complete
Ac start up. Checked disconnect. Checked high voltage wiring to condenser. Checked low voltage two wire to unit. Hooked up gauges. Found system charge was dropped due to ambient temps and pressures. Found valves open. Checked two wire in furnace, ok. Checked filter, ok. Cycled system. Checked pressures and temps. Subcooling was 11 with outdoor temp at 58. Split was 17. System has correct charge, but would like to verify and fine tune when temps are higher and there is a heat load in home. System is operating at this time. Job complete.
Performed the AC check. I found indications of leaks at the indoor coil and outside by the unit. Contactor was worn and tested out of its zone. Customer said the indoor coil froze up last year. The leaking R22 is most likely the cause. The unit is currently 17 years old. Average life of system is 12-14 years. Due to age, condition, and cost to repair, second opinion is recommended. We will call to schedule.
Ran wires and surface mounted a new duplex outlet on wall for WiFi extender.
Performed furnace clean and tune; inspected the exhaust and intake PVC ensuring all connections were secured, removed and cleaned the burners along with the flame sensor, cycled the system on and checked gas pressures, as well as performed a combustion test verifying no CO in the airstream. I did notice the 413 filter used had all broken fins. I am going to leave a 213 filter and we’ll return later with the 213 upgrade kit. Also leaving a #35 water panel for the changeover this spring. This system is currently operating normal at this time. Job complete
Furnace clean and tune. Cycled system. Checked heat exchanger, ok. Checked and cleaned burners and flame sensor, ok. Checked and adjusted gas pressures to maximize efficiency. Checked levels of CO and XS air in exhaust. Normal levels found. No CO found in airstream. System operating normal at this time. Job complete. Office to call in spring for ac clean and tune. Paid.
Performed furnace start up; inspected the exhaust and intake PVC ensuring all connections were secured we will have to return to replace a section of pvc that is leaking water as well as spray foam the intake and exhaust, I then sniffed the gas line for possible leaks, I did find that the evaporator coil is slanted the wrong way this could cause issues during AC season we’ll follow up with this, I did inspect gas pressures and did adjust it to 3.5InH2O, as well as performed a combustion test verifying no CO in the airstream. This system is currently operating normal and heating at 34 degrees at this time Job complete
2/28/19. Removed old furnace. Installed new daikin furnace. Installed filter upgrade kit along with a 213 filter. Reconnected electrical and thermostat wiring to furnace. Connected pvc to exhaust and intake on furnace. Connected gas piping to furnace. Installed metal to connect furnace to duct. Started furnace. Everything running properly. Thank you for choosing Black-Haak heating for your heating needs.
Performed level 2 furnace cleaning. Burners and flame sensor are clean. Heat exchanger looks good. Gas and exhaust levels are normal. No CO detected in the air. Drain is clear. Heat rise was 55 degrees. Unit is operating normally at this time.
Performed furnace start up; inspected the exhaust and intake PVC ensuring all connections were secured, sniffed the gas line for possible leaks, sniffed the A coil for possible refrigerant leaks, as well as performed a combustion test verifying no CO in the airstream. I did find a substantial amount of dust on the underside of the A coil this could potentially cause issues with the cooling system during the summer as well as put a strain on the furnace during the winter months. This is also an indication that the filter in place is not working the way it should it is allowing dirt/dust to the system I am including a quote for an electronic air cleaner this filter takes place of the current 14x20x1 filter but carries an electronic charge acting like a magnet for those tiny particles that are getting through the current filter. This sytem is currently operating normal at this time and heating at 55 degrees at this time. Job complete
